Terms of Service
Effective July 2026
These are the plain-English terms for booking a photo session with Zachary Routsong Photography. Booking a session means you agree to them. If anything here is unclear, just ask before you book.
Booking and payment
- Submitting a request on this site does not lock in a session — it's a request. You'll get an email once it's accepted, with a link to finalize the details.
- A 50% deposit secures your date once your booking is confirmed. The remaining balance is due on the day of the session.
- The price you see at booking (including any promo code you applied) is the price — plus any add-ons or travel fee you choose at confirmation.
Rescheduling and cancellations
- Need to move or cancel? Give at least 48 hours' notice and your deposit transfers to the new date, or gets refunded if you cancel outright.
- Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice (or no-shows) may forfeit the deposit — that time was reserved for you.
- Weather or genuine emergencies: we'll reschedule at no cost. Life happens.
- If Zachary has to cancel for any reason, you get a full refund of anything paid, or priority rebooking — your choice.
Photo delivery
- Edited photos are delivered through a private online gallery, typically within 5–7 days of your session.
- Galleries stay online for roughly 90 days — download your photos during that window.
Copyright and how photos can be used
- Zachary retains the copyright to all images, as is standard for photographers.
- You receive a personal-use license: print your photos, share them, post them — freely and forever. Selling them or using them commercially requires separate written permission.
- Your photos appear in Zachary's portfolio or social media only if you said it's OK (there's an optional checkbox at booking). You can change your mind either way, anytime — just reach out.
If something goes wrong
- In the unlikely event of equipment failure, illness, or lost images, liability is limited to a reshoot or a refund of what you've paid — whichever you prefer.
